Soling German Open Championship by OMEGA  - Winkler/Wenzel/Niemann win by ruling 5 out of 6 races
CHIEMSEE, GERMANY-(2-5-2004) Only 6 races raced yet and for the third consecutive year team Heiko Winkler/ Stefan Wenzel/ Jens Niemann - GER 297 are again the top Soling sailors in Germany with an almost perfect record with 5 first places and a second place at the third race over 5 countries and an excellent fleet of 25 crews at lake Chiemsee.

7 races were at the program at this excellent weekend race and Karl Haist/ Ewald Köstler/ Peter Jacob - GER 308(16pts) are at the second place only one point over the Hungarian Westel team with Georg Wossala/ Leslie Kovacsi/ Peter Nemeth - HUN 77(17pts).

Team Roman Koch/ Maxl Koch/ Christoph Wossala GER 300 (28pts) recently the Italian Open Championship winner fill the 5th position just behind two points of team Holger Weichert/ Laurent Scheel/ Frank Feller GER 49 (26pts)
Another German team (Thomas Maschkiwitz/ Christoph Saurbier/ Dr. Christian Oeler ) will sail hardly to keep the advantage over The Netherlands team from Johan Offermans /Hans Zijlstra/ Bas Dlisee - NED 25 and The Slovakian team from Peter Mosny/ Anton Szomolanyi/ Marek Jancovic sponsored by centrumservices.

Chiemsee Lake is lucky to observe such Regatta with 75 sailors sailing in a closed race to take off Winkler's crown. But it won't be on 2004 with his perfect Omega timming.
